Dermatoscopes / Videodermatoscopes
Dermatoscopy / Videodermatoscopy (otherwise surface microscopy of the skin) is a method of examining the skin using an optical device called a dermatoscope or episcope). The Mic Fi dermatoscope is equipped with a cold light emitter, thanks to which the doctor can observe changes in the structure in the superficial layers of the skin under magnification. In a dermatoscopic examination, the skin is moistened with an appropriate liquid (oil) that eliminates light scattering, thanks to which the image of the diagnosed area is clearer.
Dermatoscope - an optical device for examining changes in the skin
It is a carrying device dermatoscopic examination (dermatoscopy ), thanks to which it is possible to assess pigmented moles on the skin. Its task is to distinguish pigmented lesions from non-pigmented ones, and in the case of pigmented lesions, their monitoring and possible early detection of neoplastic transformation.
