Audiometry

An acoustic device used to diagnose organic disorders of an organhearing.

The basic element of the audiometer isacoustic generator. The subject receives tones by bone or air conduction. Regulatorsound intensity is scaled indecibels HL. During the examination, the patient signals the perception of sounds of the appropriate range.
